Harbor Havoc Inferno Map
Same two harbors, three islands, and a volcano that can wipe the center.
Harbor Havoc spent years rotating Industrial, Country, Sci-Fi, and Medieval boards. Inferno is the later volcanic event map. The official Harbor Havoc account called it the most advanced map in the game and showed a triggerable eruption that can destroy enemies standing in the wrong pocket. That is the whole identity of the board: same two harbors, same three islands, and a new hazard that punishes people who treat the center like a parking lot.
This page is for players who loaded Inferno after a lobby vote and need a plan before the first plane leaves the hangar. If you still need the shared rules, read the maps hub and the island capture guide first. Inferno does not replace those rules. It adds lava, sightlines, and a timed wipe on top of them.
Same win condition, worse center
A Harbor Havoc round still ends when one 25,000 health harbor dies or the 60-minute timer hits. Inferno does not change that number. It changes how safe the middle of the map feels. On Industrial the center is cranes and water. On Inferno the center is a volcano with a control that a team can fire. If your whole squad parks next to the crater to farm an island, the other team can erase that pile in one trigger.
That is why Inferno games look chaotic on stream. People still want the three flags. The flags still cut Token travel time. The eruption just makes the cheapest capture route the most expensive place to stand still.
How the eruption should change your spawn
Treat the eruption like a Battleship salvo you cannot tank. If you fly a jet, stay high enough to leave the zone. If you drive a Patrol Boat to an island, do not idle on the pad after the flag flips. If you park a Destroyer in the lava channel to farm the harbor, assign one teammate to watch the trigger instead of staring only at harbor health.
The eruption is area denial, not a harbor delete. It will not replace a Bomber or Battleship run. Use it to clear a capture team, break a spawn camp, or punish a yacht that sat too close to the volcano. Then go back to Gold and Tokens like any other map.
Island work on lava
Inferno still uses the three-island layout. The middle flag is the dangerous one. A Patrol Boat plus one escort still wins most captures because most players never leave the air. On Inferno that escort should be a plane that can leave fast, not a second boat sitting in the same blast radius.
After you take a flag, spawn the next vehicle from the new pad and leave. Do not stack three ships on one island to hold it. Holding an Inferno island means keeping a player in range of the pad, not parking a fleet on the rock. If the eruption is up, wait it out on the water or in the air, then recapture. Dying in lava for a flag you already own is how Inferno rounds leak Tokens.
Harbor pressure on Inferno
Harbor health is still 25,000. A Space Bomber, a Battleship, and a coordinated jet sweep still do the real work. Inferno’s extra value is vision. The volcano breaks some of the flat water sightlines from Country and Industrial, so a bomber can hide an approach behind the cone and dump before the turret line sees it.
Do not confuse that cover with safety. If you hug the volcano on the way in, you are also hugging the eruption. High bombers and long-range Battleship fire are cleaner than a suicide run through the crater. Save the crater path for a one-life or no-planes lobby where you need the shortest line and you accept the wipe risk.
What to buy before an Inferno vote
If the lobby is hovering on Inferno, spend Gold on tools that leave the hazard:
- A cheap boat for the first island.
- A jet that can climb out of the eruption.
- A bomber or Battleship for harbor health after the first flags flip.
Skip stacking event cosmetics before you own those three jobs. Wraps from codes do not change lava. Tokens still reset every round, so an 11 Token bomber still cannot launch at the opening whistle. Inferno does not rewrite the economy. It only punishes people who ignore it while they stare at the volcano.
Inferno and event playlists
Inferno shows up as an event map, the same way Festival, Arctic, and Blossom rotate through votes. If your server never offers it, you are not missing a hidden menu. The playlist is on the host side. Watch the official Harbor Havoc account and the in-game vote board. When Inferno is in the list, call it in chat before the vote locks so your team does not spend the first minute learning the crater the hard way.
Zombies, one-life, and no-planes still work on Inferno when the lobby selects them. One-life plus eruption is brutal because a wipe is a full sit-out. No-planes makes the lava channel the only highway, which is why a boat and a Destroyer matter more than a jet you cannot spawn. Read the gamemodes page for the mode list, then apply Inferno’s hazard on top.
Common Inferno mistakes
Players lose Inferno rounds in a few repeatable ways. They hover a jet over the volcano for clips. They park every ship on the middle island. They treat the eruption as a harbor nuke and stop bombing. They skip the first island because the lava looks scary, then spend the rest of the hour flying from their own pad. They also forget the tutorial basics and burn the first 10 Tokens on a jet they cannot climb out with.
Fix those and Inferno becomes a normal Harbor Havoc map with one extra timer. Take a side island, keep a bomber budget, and only stand near the crater when you are the one about to trigger it.
After Inferno
When the vote leaves Inferno, nothing you learned about Gold, Tokens, or harbor health goes away. The maps hub still covers Industrial, Country, Sci-Fi, and Medieval. The ship list and plane list still decide what you can spawn. Inferno is the map you play when the lobby wants a spectacle. Play it for the eruption, then win it the same way you win every other board: islands, Tokens, and a harbor that hits zero first.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Harbor Havoc questions.
What is the Inferno map in Harbor Havoc?
Inferno is a volcanic event map. The official account described it as the most advanced map in the game, with a triggerable eruption that can wipe nearby enemies.
How do you trigger the Inferno eruption?
The map includes an eruption control that a team can fire to punish players who bunch up on the lava side. Treat it like timed area denial, not a free win button.
Is Inferno a permanent Harbor Havoc map?
Inferno ships as an event map. It appears when the lobby vote or a limited playlist includes it. Check the official account if you do not see it in rotation.
Does Inferno change island capture?
The three-island layout still sits between the harbors. Lava and eruption timing make the middle flag more dangerous, so capture teams should bring a boat and an escort.
Which vehicles work best on Inferno?
Fast boats still take islands. Bombers and Battleships still farm harbor health. Jets should stay high enough to leave the eruption zone instead of hovering over the volcano.
